The EPDM Pour‑in‑Place Surface System is a seamless, monolithic elastic flooring system made by mixing EPDM granules with polyurethane (PU) binder on site, then troweling and curing to form a uniform rubber surface. Unlike prefabricated rolls or tiles, this system has no joints, adapts to any shape, and provides excellent shock absorption – ideal for fall‑protection areas.

The system consists of:

• A base layer: rubber granules (recycled SBR, virgin SBR, or virgin EPDM) + PU binder for elasticity, drainage, and cost saving. Thickness can vary from 0 to 24mm.

• A wearing layer: colored EPDM granules + clear or colored PU binder. Thickness is fixed at 6mm.

The wearing layer thickness is fixed at 6mm to ensure consistent surface performance and color appearance. All additional thickness required for higher fall protection or cushioning is achieved by increasing the base layer thickness. Total system thickness = wearing layer (6mm) + base layer (0‑24mm) = 6‑30mm.

The most critical quality factors are the rubber content of the EPDM granules (higher = better UV resistance and color life) and the quality of the PU binder (100% solid, solvent‑free, UV stable). Our system uses virgin EPDM granules with rubber content from 8% to 30%, and high‑performance PU binders that do not yellow under sunlight.

1. EPDM Rubber Content – The #1 Performance Factor

   Our EPDM granules are available with rubber content from 8% to 30%. Higher rubber content means less filler (CaCO₃) and more pure EPDM polymer, directly affecting UV resistance, color retention, elasticity, and service life.

   ✅ For any outdoor application, we strongly recommend Premium or Ultra grade to ensure long‑term color stability and safety. Higher rubber content directly equals longer color life and slower aging.

2. PU Binder Quality

   Our binders are:

   • 100% solids – no solvents, low VOC

   • UV stable – aliphatic systems available that do not yellow

   • Good adhesion to both recycled and virgin rubber granules

   • Flexible – moves with the rubber surface, no cracking

   We supply both:

   • Standard binder for general use (aromatic, cost‑effective)

   • UV‑stable binder for high‑sun areas (aliphatic, no yellowing, higher durability)

3. Base Layer Options

   The base layer (thickness 0‑24mm) can be made with:

   • Recycled black SBR granules – most economical, good elasticity

   • Virgin SBR granules – higher consistency, lower PAHs, better performance

   • Virgin EPDM granules (any color) – best for visible base layer applications (e.g., two‑color system) or when higher uniformity is required

   We supply all options. Specify your requirement.

Loading: Optimized for 20GP / 40HQ containers.

• 25kg bags: approx. 22 tons per 20GP

Delivery time: 15 days after order confirmation as standard. Due to peak/off seasons, it may extend to 15 days – 1 month – we will inform you in advance.
