The Economy Elastic Acrylic system provides affordable cushioning by using recycled SBR rubber granules in the elastic layer. The total thickness is typically 3‑5 mm (2‑4 mm rubber + 1 mm acrylic). While recycled SBR has lower UV resistance than EPDM (it may harden and fade after 3‑5 years in direct sun), it is perfectly adequate for moderate‑use facilities or covered courts. The system remains water‑based, breathable, and fast‑drying. For projects that need joint protection but cannot afford premium materials, this is the most cost‑effective solution.
